‘The Invisible World I, II, III -‘ (on-going, 2013 -) is an on-going novel that writes itself.
The series consist of appropriated pages from abandoned, ignored books without owners, without homes, found on city streets or discarded at libraries.
The page order is defined on the basis of the places where I happened to be (among other cities New York, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Berlin, Vienna, Lisbon etc.) – which makes it highly multilingual.
Selected spreads from each Volume. Hardcover bound: Volume I in New York (2013), Volume II in Vienna (2015), Volume III (on-going) loose pages not yet assembled.
Documentation by Jenny Sundby (2021)

This work is presented by Thomas Millroth in his massive and beautiful book – in company with many great artists: An exploration of artists’ books dating back to 1947, in Sweden, Denmark, and GDR:
“The history running from Asger Jorn and C. O. Hultén up to Marie Raffn and Lina Nordenström has not been hung on a timeline…” (p. 29), Millroth writes at the end of his introductory essay “LISTEN HERE!” (2021)
